Avon Clearskin Professional

If you are someone who has trouble with keeping your skin clear, Avon has a new product called Clearskin Professional. It is a three step skin care system and it is supposed to be comparable to Proactiv and some of those other more expensive acne treatments. But it's only $34, so it's more reasonable for people who want to give it a try! I had a customer buy it for her daughter and she said it is amazing. I will have to check and see if it is safe to use during pregnancy, but if it is I will probably buy it next time I am pregnant because my skin was SO BAD last time!

Mediterranean Cruise (no, we're not going anytime soon!)

I have been browsing all kinds of vacation stuff lately, especially cruises, and just found this one:

A Christian Family Cruise from Bible Land Christian Cruises. I know that sounds kind of cheesy. At first I thought it was like "Christian Singles Meet On a Boat" kind of thing, but it's totally not. It's actually a cruise in the Mediterranean where you get to see all kinds of historical/Biblical stuff, including the amphitheatre where the Apostle Paul spoke. You also visit the ports of Athens, Patmos, Ephesus and Pergamum- and there is a full day visit to the island of Santorini. I guess going on a "Christian cruise" would probably mean we wouldn't be having frozen drinks on the boat... but the stuff you would get to see sounds really cool. Here is the sample itinerary:

Day 1
Arrive Athens, tour Mars Hill and receive a special private teaching then up to the Parthenon and more. Transfer to ship for our welcome celebration as we sail out of the harbor on the most beautiful ship sailing the seas!

Day 2
Day at sea for fellowship and teachings.

Day 3
Arrive Dikili with a visit to the ruins of Pergamum. Pergamum is one of the two best preserved church sites. This amazing site overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Not many cruises visit this historic site! This afternoon take a stroll down the beautiful beaches, or you can take in another church site.

Day 4
Visit Kusadasi beaches with a visit to Ephesus. We will enjoy a teaching in the actual amphitheatre where Paul spoke to the Ephesians. We will see the most fully laid out Roman city that has been excavated. This is believed to be the best kept archeological site in the Mediterranean.

Day 5
Visit the island of Patmos and John’s cave today. This is a quaint Greek Island where after our teaching at the cave, you can enjoy a stroll around the island, bicycle trip or even a scooter ride!

Day 6
Full day visit to Santorini. The island widely thought to be the home of the Lost City of Atlantis. This island is also considered the most beautiful island in the world. You can visit the caldera and enjoy the thermal pools, bicycle, visit the Pompeii of the Greek Islands - Akritori. Quaint whitewashed homes, amazing shopping and never ending beaches is what you will encounter today.

Day 7
Greek island of Sifnos this morning (beaches, BBQ and fun!) We will have an amazing beachfront teaching under shade but with tremendous views. You can take off scootering or bicycling around this quaint island overlooking the beautiful sea. We leave quite late this evening so there is plenty of time to enjoy a day on the Mediterranean Sea plus the island's amazing restaurants, shops, walks and sightseeing. It will be a day of rest for sure.

Day 8
Arrive back in Athens this morning. This afternoon you will fly home or off to the beautiful island of Malta for our extension with the BASE Institute.

** I think we really are going to make it a goal to do a cruise in the next few years. I have put it off because I am totally scared of being seasick the whole time, but I have heard that ginger works really well for that.

So people say Hella....

I honestly haven't heard the phrase/word "Hella" in a few years... until today at the grocery store. I heard a teenage girl say that something was Hella Expensive. Flashback to the late nineties or so.

How cool is this?

I found a website called Angel Investors where people who are trying to start up their own business or need loans can post their needs. Investors can search the site and contact people if they want to invest in their startup or small business or whatever they are doing. I have heard about stuff like that for third world countries, but that's neat that there is something in the states now as well.

Beds

When jonathon and I were shopping for a new bed we looked at a few types of adjustable beds... one of the first things we looked at was a Sleep Number bed. For anyone who is seriously looking into that- we decided it wasn't a good idea. We did a lot of research and found that they have quite a few problems like pin-sized holes, and the warranty doesn't cover that after like a year. Jonathon's parents have one of those beds and it really isn't all that comfortable. Trust me, because that's what we sleep on when we visit. We ended up getting a Tempur Pedic bed and we have been really happy with it. Not to mention that it has alleviated a lot of his back problems.

Too much snow

If you haven't heard, I'VE MOVED! You can find me HERE.

Soon I will not be posting on this site at all anymore. Right now it's just a few ramblings here and there.

We had way too much snow today for my sad, unplowed neighborhood. You can hear me complain all about it over at my other blog. I talk about some mover NYC website where they offer to move your home... lol not really but it sounds like it from the heading on their site... anyway it must be time for me to go to bed.

My Friday

I took care of Alli on Friday and between her and Bailey being in a bad mood, it was such a long day. I was so glad to be able to get away that evening and go out with my mom and grandma. They are both such good kids on their own and so difficult together. It's hard to keep them both entertained and happy and coordinate the nap schedules. I think it would be easier if I did it more often than once or twice a month.
